About the author

Born in Florida, but raised on the banks of Oklahoma farm ponds. Currently, he can be found chasing pike and smallmouth bass in western Pennsylvania. 

He has worked (and fished) in Hawaii (plant research project), North Dakota (duck research project), Colorado (Leadville National Fish Hatchery), Iowa (Rathbun Research Fish Hatchery and ISU fisheries research projects), Michigan (MSU fisheries research projects), and Oklahoma (research tree farm).   

He earned a B.S. in Zoology from Oklahoma State with a focus on fisheries. 

Oh, and he met his wife while electrofishing.
